Individual Therapy
Therapy is a space where there are no other distractions or interruptions, a space where you can slow down, take your time and not feel rushed. I provide a nonjudgmental, healing space to safely explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
I can help you strengthen your relationship with yourself and the people who are important to you, develop more effective coping strategies and emotional flexibility, and learn how to better tolerate and manage big feelings. My goal as a therapist is to help you feel truly understood, help you to understand and accept yourself, and give you tools to move through the world in a more adaptive way. I'm here to support you, to challenge you, to empower you, and to root for you as you go through this process.
Parenting Support/Consultations
Being a human right now is hard, and being a child or an adolescent is even harder. As a former school counselor at Aidan Montessori school in Washington, DC and psychotherapist at The Lab School of Washington, I have almost 20 years of experience working with a diversity of children, teens and preteens from many different backgrounds. I can provide support and tools for parents to help their kids and teens with issues relating to emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, gender identity, school/academic stress, social media stress, neurodivergence, ADHD, ASD, executive functioning, friendship/relationship issues, sibling/family issues, college preparation, addiction, trauma, teasing/bullying, social skills, health and wellness, and body image. As a former competitive high school rower, collegiate rower, and high school coach, I also understand how to help parents support their teen in the space of athletic competition and sport performance.
